Why Choose 20/20 and Beyond?
Welcome!

We'd like to take you on a virtual visit to our practice. We hope this site will help to explain the services we offer, introduce you to ourselves and our staff, as well as answer questions regarding common eye conditions. We would also like to acquaint you with new technology to improve vision, and preserve vision, as the gift of sight is such a precious thing.
As board certified ophthalmologists (EYE MDs), we have helped care for the vision of over 50,000 residents of Sarasota and Charlotte counties, as well as many other residents of the state, nation and beyond. We provide all levels of eye care from eye examinations with fitting of glasses and contact lenses, to medical, surgical and laser treatment of cataracts, glaucoma, retinal problems and other eye diseases. As EYE MDs, we perform the complete eye exam on each and every patient, and take time to address all questions and concerns. We enjoy practicing ophthalmology, and enjoy caring for our patients.

As eye surgeons, we are among the most experienced and well trained in the nation. We have performed over 10,000 cataract surgeries as well as thousands of other cornea, glaucoma, retinal, eyelid plastic and laser procedures. We are trained as eye surgeons, but will offer conservative alternatives whenever possible. With cataract sugery, our goal is not only to rehabilitate the visual function of the eye through cataract removal, but to correct vision from a refractive standpoint (to reduce the need for glasses ). Through the use of new technology such as microincisional surgery with Alcon's Infinity System, astigmatism reduction with Staar toric intraocular lenses and limbal relaxing incisions, and multifocal implants such as ReSTOR AND ReZoom, we blend cataract surgery with refractive sugery to give you the best vision without glasses that we can provide.
At 20/20 and Beyond, every member of our staff is trained and committed to provide the best in patient care. Our motto is "Eye Care With Care", and we will do our best to treat you in a caring and compassionate manner. We take Medicare assignment to help alleviate the cost of eye care, and participate in the National Eye Care Project to provide free care to those who cannot afford it.
